Title: pug mileage reset to 0 after knock??
Post by: parks on October 15, 2011, 10:16:00 pm
I've been searching google and wonder if anyone knows a solution.

My girlfriend had a deer run across the road in front of her and collided with her bonnet (206cc). she was only going slow as was about to turn. the deer (big stag) got up and ran off, he was ok

rung and informed the insurance but isnt wasnt going to claim as it looked to just be a dent need popping out.

but

the mileage has reset itself??? not the trip computer but the actual mileage of the car?!?

any ideas?

Weird.

Do a search for the 'BSI reboot procedure' as it's the first place to start.

There are many 'mileage alteration' places. You have a genuine reason to use one :signLOL:

Ah right, bit of a trek!

Try this for shutting down then reconnecting battery http://www.bba-reman.com/content.aspx?content=peugeot_bsi_reboot_process

The BSI on a 206 is known for electrical gremlins.
