Just got the four digit sercurity code for my mfd2, but I have no idea how to enter it. I think iv pressed every button and I can't seem to get the numbers I need. Can anyone help

Bottom right button(opposite from the volume button) turn it to go from 0 to 9 and then press the button in to select which number you want to input

Just tried that and it doesn't do anything. Does the ignition have to be on? I'm trying it with it off. Should it make a difference
