Title: Cam belt-Mapped car decrease service life of this item?

I believe its 4 years or a certain mileage. :sad:

Im sure its 4 years or 60,000 miles

IIRC it's 4 years/80,000 miles but VW recommend to change at 60,000miles (that's what I did). Remap shouldn't affect this.

Inspect from 4 years  :scared: / 60k and replace at 120k. 

In my service book for a 05 MY its inspect from 60k and replace at 120k.  I'd recommend changing at 60k but I'm not convinced with this 4 years business  :confused:
