Will you ask your tuner to readjust your map to obtain the max performance from the water/meth kit?

is methanol something you can fit yourself, or it is you need specialist skill/tools to do?

yea you can fit it yourself,  just have to make a hole in inlet just before the throttle body.

I'm itching to find out how your install went  :popcornsoda:  What do you make of the Sunoco methanol compared to the 99.99% meth on ebay which is a 60% cheaper, In theory  they should both be identical with the ebay one being 99.99% pure or am I completely mistaken.

You really need to install after the tb as the meth will kill the tb over time.  USRT make a spacer plate iirc.  If you do mount it after the tb then you need a valve to stop the meth being drawn into the inlet under vacuum.

Alex what are your thoughts on the above choices of methanol?  :happy2:

what's this about needing to change the (plastic) throttle body for methanol injection for the metal RS3 one?

I hope you don't bend any rods seeing that APR recommend installing uprated rods on the their 100 octane K04 file because of the possibility.

The idea is not to run any more cylinder pressures its all ready at 1.5-1.6 bar and -4cf at peak torque, The way to gain power would to be run a leaner AFR of around 12.5:1 from 4500rpm to 7000rpm and not 11.5:1 which is used to cool cylinder and exhaust temps, plus after a few logging sessions I shoukd find a safe window for 2-4deg advance, if I can get the current CFs down to zero.     Looking forward to doing this tomorrow..... If I can find a spark plug combination to stop this bloody misfire.... :fighting:
