I am going to stage two tomorrow whilst having my itg intake fitted. Should make for an interesting drive home given it'll be on my ed30 which is already on stage one with a bcs tbe fitted
-
Let us know how she drives home... :happy2:
-
Sure thing mate, am expecting good things
-
the itg should make it a lot more aggressive but you wont notice as much difference as when you went to stage one as you already have tbe fitted too. stg 2+ though is more :driver:
-
Im looking forward to hearing what stage 2 is like compared to stage one, as im looking to go stage 2 in the future, let me what its like Chris S :happy2:
Im currently revo stage one and ITG intake, with a TBE fitted and revo software i shall be there.

I hate to piss on peoples parade but the best jump is always stage 0-1!!

So I've heard, but the difference in mid range is huge between 1 and 2......
@ OP, who is doing the map?

Well got the itg and stage two fitted today and the noise will be an acquired taste when driving normally, but when on the gas it sounds the business. As for the revo stage two, there is a noticeable improvement, and whilst logging the car we were up to twice the motor way speed impressively quickly. However on the way home the roads were damp and it was hard to get the power down. That said the difference versus stage one isn't the same as 0-1 but its only £60 instead of £600 so i would say its better value overall. Will keep this post updated as i get out in it more

Did you have an exhaust fitted?
-
Not today, had the exhaust fitted about 6 weeks ago

Your not including the £1100 for the turbo back exhaust or £350 ITG itake ontop of that £50 upgrade, so its not as good value as you make out
-
Fair point but my tbe only cost 795 but get what you mean, although the software was bought as a separate mod so did only cost 60.
Anyway its has definitely made an improvement to my car so don't regret it. Currently thinking i may drop my boost back to 7 as 9 seems to lose pull at about 5000rpm
-
what hp jump is there from stage 1 to stage 2 ?
-
Not been recorded yet but i would hope i will be some where around 310ish and on stage mod with no other mods it will have been 275ish
-
thats cool - As i think im gonna jump into stage 2, just brought my ITG filter, now looking at full system/downpipe etc.
Do you recommend Revo and worth the £600 ?
-
Revo are most expensive, but make very good figures. Good adjust ability as well, but im not a fanof their tuning ethos
Id be looking at APR, Shark Performance or P Torque myself. R Tec and Jabba Sport appear worthy of a mention as well

whats wrong with their tuning ethos Sy?
Also, are Celtic tuning any good?

I think they make the maps to aggressive low down for that 'wow' factor effect of pinning you to your seat and also always wander if they push things to far to ensure they are the top performers. id rather a smoother more progressive delivery which is alot better on the clutch and more tractable especially in the wet.
Also their default answer to a fault is either ' its not the software ' or 'boost leak
That and the fact im rebelling against the big names who over charge compared to equal/comparable products. Don't do revo, miltek or forge( apart from my intake, but that's second hand) :rolleye:
Don't recall reading of any guys on here with celtic tuning

i too have heard bad things about miltek (and some forge products) but as i have no experience personally of those products it is pure hearsay but i would not put a miltek on my car

Joesgti had a celtic tuning map on his old gti.
