Hi guys, looking at one of these as am at stg 2+.
Has everyone who has had one fitted been pleased ie increased your timing a notch and been happy as a result?
Or are they not really worth the outlay and something which can be done without as am running s3 intercooler already.
I seem to think that Carrera2 was not happy with the results and took his off after a couple of weeks.
Have spoke to a couple of tuners who did not rate the product either BUT I rate Forge as one of the better tuning companies for the 2.0TFSI out there so am very undecided.
Any comments appreciated.

At the end of the day Berg. They look awesome!!!

They have a number of plus points-
They are easy to fit and remove compared to other coolers.
They are subtle yet you know its there.
I never had any running issues on mine, didn't play around with the settings at all though.
PS Mines for sale

Works fine on my R. Although I've held my timing back for clutch preservation reasons
during a sesh at SRR it showed its worth when it was able to do repeated runs with no power reduction. Even Charlie said u can see / feel the difference vs the other car which had a stock cooler.
So I think it's a good mod!

I agree, I did multiple quarter mile runs at inters with no power reduction due to heat soak - my times proved this. :congrats:

Sold and fitted loads, including on my own cars and rate them highly :happy2:

Well if you rate them Dave, that says a lot.
Plus i find it hard to believe that Forge would manufacture a product which was complete gash as their Twintake is clearly good and I have the quickshifter which is decent.
So if i fit one Dave, and increase timing to say, 6 from 5, will that increase performance especially in the summer months?

there's no definite rules, but usually I find I can advance timing by 2-3 on REVO and gain 12-15hp through entire RPM's.

Forge Twintercooler is well worth the cash but as Dave will tell you fitment is fairly straight forward but you will need to take care when cutting the hoses and trim them gradually. OAT bracket needs to be oversized generally to fit the sensor

got one fitted also without any problems. ran at inters with it on the sunday which was a scorcher no problems at all
