... Sucks ass!
Gonna have to back the settings down a notch till I can get a sports clutch in there! :-(
How come it's only noticeable in higher gears when you boot it? I thought it would slip more in lower gears...

Higher lbs ft in higher gears. :driver: Stevie.

Thanks Steve! I always thought if the cars pulling harder in lower gears it was putting more stress on the clutch... How little I know...

Your next mod is going to be an expensive one!!! :drinking:

Great!

Ive been looking at clutches too. Budget £1k mate

Is that including a new DMF or if this looks ok it can be reused or resurfaced? Which clutch set up is best to go for?
-
No I'm planning to keep my DMF as its only 20k mile old.
Think I'll go with the Sachs option as I've had one before and should be ok for upto 350 lb ft.
SteveP likes the Southbend one though but that comes with a SMF!
Should be able to have a Sachs one fitted for around £800 :happy2:

Mate if your using apd for the clutch u can get a sach kit for around 600 and then 200 fitting i believe, so clungster bang on with the price and that is using your dmf and that only gets damaged and needs replacing if you run the clutch low, which shouldnt be the case. Mine slipped a bit when i went stage 2+ but it wasnt slipping because the clutch was worn out i had just shinned it from accelerating hard a couple of times from low down in a high gear. Go through the gears properly and change down before you boot it and it will improve and if your lucky like me then it wont need replacing. Sucks though as you want the full potential and want to be able to give it everything but have to tread on egg shells with it to save having to spend even more money. :fighting:

That's not too bad... Yeah APD will do all the work on my car in the future, get on well with Neil and Paul and there work and service so far has been top notch...
Yeah will be a shame turning the settings down(, but at least I know it has the potential... have you done your clutch yet John?
