Title: Monday morning car problems :-(
Post by: MJR on October 24, 2011, 04:59:42 pm
Went out to the car this morning, to head to work. Proper pissing down and gales, how nice lol
Went to start the car and it was dead, flat battery boohoo.
Luckily there was a taxi waiting outside the hotel that said he'd give me a jump, so went back to car to then flip the bonnet release which opened the bonnet fine but the release handle went all loose and is just flopping about lol
Now the bonnet won't close properly, simply the hook part of mechanism clips in and thats it, so bonnet is still open slightly. So for the minute have tied the bonnet down so it doesn't flap about.
So have now booked it in at a garage to get it fixed on Thursday & possibly a new battery as I think mine could be knackered.

Anyone had this happen to them, common problem? or know how much it would roughly cost to fix the bonnet release problem.

you could move the catch back on the bonet release with a srew driver and it wil stay closed, had this on mine gave it a good feed of wd40 and it was fine
