Title: iTunes 10.5
Post by: Nasir on October 24, 2011, 07:07:32 pm
Why does it keep opening itself every 5 minutes? Is it something to do with wireless syncing? How do you stop it from opening itself?

Yeah I had this problem once I enabled wireless syncing. I think it detects the phone is there, loads up and realises the phone is not plugged into the wall so doesn't do anything. Has stopped since I did a hard boot on the computer.

It's on my laptop so not sure how I'd do that?

Turn it off and on again, which is what worked on my laptop!

Isn't there an option somewhere to open Itunes when an iphone/pod/pad is connected. Might be the wireless syncing opening it

I have wireless sync'ing enabled on both my iPhone and iPad - iTunes doesn't automatically open every few minutes for me??

I can simply run iTunes myself, and then both devices are listed. I can then sync with them by pressing the 'Sync Now' button - whether they are connected to power or not doesn't matter for me, they still sync regardless.
