Chaps,
I've had my MK2 Leon Cupra re mapped to stage one using a P torque map and have been offered a forge Actutator by a pal of mine at a steal. I'm debating whether to buy it as it will help with the increase in boost and keep the pressure steady.
Just curious whether or not ppl have done this on there Golf GTI's as I cant find any info on the seat forums, Obviously the engine is similar to the ed30.
Im curious to what this mod can really do so if anyone has done this can you give me some feed back.
Cheers Chaps

PM Hurdy off here :happy2:

Thanks Pal, but I cant PM for some reason! Any Ideas on that one??

The actuator is a good piece of kit but unlike most mods, you have to tweak the actuator preload by tightening or looseing the nut after logging with vcds as there is no other way to get the preload tension correct. Depending on your luck, it may take numerous adjustments or just one.

So without dragging the subject out, (As i dont wnna annoy ppl as im a LC owner) is it a worth while mod or just a costly mod at stage 1 with no specfic gain??
Do ppl tend to fit a boost gauge as well so they can monitor the boost output?
Two of my pals have said to fit it but I dont really wanna fork out the costs of fitting if i'm not really gonna see the benefits as I could spend the cash on another mod!!

oh and whats vcds??? (new to tuning VAG cars)
-
The actuator is a pointless/worthless mod if you don't have an uprated fuel pump and a stage 2+ map.
vcds is a cable used to monitor and fault find on vag cars. http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/product.html

Ok, buddy.
Thanks for answering the question, quess I turn him down but I'll probably avertise it on this forum as he's not a member!
Do I need 10 plus to advertise?

I have it fitted to my car, and my advice is don't do, way to much hazzle for very little gain, lots of other mods to consider instead :happy2:
I believe Hurdy would say the same.
