Title: White DIS ?
Post by: DaveR77 on October 26, 2011, 10:40:56 am
I've seen some posts mentioning a white DIS, are there any advantages of this or is it just a different colour and how do you go about upgrading to one?

http://www.vwcruise.com/152.html shows an MFD DATA screen for example, if that one of the benefits?

the 8P DIS is very different to the other PQ35 platform cars' DIS (in the same way 8Ps have RNS-E whereas the others have RNS-510 or MFD2). FIS+ isn't available for the 8P for similar reasons - it's a totally different system.

the white 8P DIS can also be retrofitted to older 8P cars. i know of at least one person who's put it on an '04 car. i don't know why you would tbh - yes it' has more features but i love the way my 8P cockpit looks like the bridge of a battleship at night
