Right, basically i want to know the above.
answer the poll and comment as you so wish!
i started this because ive done a white C63 today and it looks bloody gorgeous! i know its not a vag, but it does look good and im sure any car nut can understand! ;)
i will probably start a thread and just put pictures in it, with hardly any waffle. just some nice pics! :)
what do you think?
admin, mods, please give opinions too!

Late at night, after the guzzling of food, the viewing of movies, poring over VAG babes, late, when everyone's asleep, I go onto detailingworld and drool over clean cars.
I love the entire dirty car->detail in progress->finished article.
Yes I'll appreciate GTIs even more but there are some cars out there I'd never even look at once, let alone twice. But after a proper detail
-
thanks for your input mate! ;)
-
Without doubt start a thread.
We are all like-minded car enthusiasts on this website, I'm sure everyone will appreciate looking at other marques that are impeccably detailed!! :happy2:
-
Did you hear it running. They sound evil.
-
I adore cars, a total nut, more car porn the better if you ask me
-
The more detailed cars the better, thats what this section is all about, but some explanation is a must if you find a problem area or how to repair stone chips if you come across any, :happy2:
-
thanks for your input guys, its appreciated. And top cat, course. I'll try and contribute as much as i can to the detailing section in terms of tips etc :)

C63

thanks guys, ive driven the c63 and here's my round up:
6.3 V8.....WOW..the sound of that thing is incredible. it does leave you thinking the devil is shouting down the exhausts!
Its about 450 horse, i don't know about the torque, but i guess its a lot. The power comes in a huge wallop from low low down the rev range, and it just does not stop with correct use of the flappy paddle arrangement. (Supposedly all the way to 180 without stopping)
With the ever so angry 6.3 V8 over the front axles, it does feel like a car that needs nursing through tight bends. It doesn't instil masses of confidence when turning into a tight bend. After struggling to scrub of speed into a corner, with the lifeless brakes, there's a hint of under steer with the weight of the dam thing. Then comes the back end always wanting to kick out in any gear, any condition. It certainly is a challenging drive, but certainly not a drivers car. Its not as poised and balanced as an M3. But that omnipotent power surge and exhaust tone will keep you smiling. I would probably say that it doesnt, handle as well as an RS4, but then again some people would say, the RS4 is a slightly clinical drive and less involving than the C63. Its to do with personal preference, i prefer the M3 or Rs4.
Id say its more of a Autobahn stormer, rather than a mountain road thriller.
There are also a few refinements missing that i miss from my golf. Such as headlights turning themselves off, it doesn't happen.
The dash feels very plastic and the satnav system looks like a first grade Chinese import. The interface is uninspiring to say the least.
Overall, its a bit of a show off car, ye it sounds nice, it goes well on the motorway. But im sure the real car nut would go for the M3 or the RS4.
BTW...i dont drive all the cars i detail, but i know the owner quite well, and being insured on any car below 125k with owners consent, i had it for the day before i detailed it. with the instruction to "take it out, see what you think to it"
and to any potential customers of miglior detailing, dont worry, your car wont move an inch out of the unit!

merc's aren't best known for their cornering abilities but that's never really been the point of them i don't think.
luxury overpowered barges with some drop dead looks and noise
-
Post as many pics as possible please!
I have never been in an M3 or an RS4 so I can't compare them with the C63, but having been out with Jay and the 'mental' owner in this very car I think Jay has summed it up nicely. This thing is shockingly quick but at the same time it felt very heavy and cumbersome, it would be perfect for eating up motorway miles and the occasional spirited drive on the twisties, but for the track and fast road driving day to day I think there are better alternatives out there. However I would not turn one down and THAT SOUND is to die for, it sounds like a feckin Spitfire
-
yep, it is a mental car. i probably couldnt live it. it just whispers to me "loose your license" all the time!
it really does sound like a spitfire!! i need to get a video of it driving past tomorrow, its still in the unit sat waiting for the owner to pick it up

Hello Jay
I have no issue with you posting details of other cars and brands.... Do a whole thread if you want or just posts pics. :happy2:
Often the expertise and knowledge you share in a thread can be used on our GTi's so if you think about it... All the posts count. Either way its a great way to teach others and its a great way to get some well deserved exposure and applause for your effort.
I will be detailing a BMW 320D (new shape) in metallic black tomorrow and will post up a write up like I did with the Porsche.
Now where are those pics! :signLOL:
