Title: Display cluster incorrect Air Temperature
Post by: AdeMcG on October 28, 2011, 08:13:35 pm
Just been out in Chester (cheers Aled) and as I put the key in to the ignition, the temperature display read - 13 Deg C.
Strage, as it was cold, but around 10 Degrees.

On the drive home (motorway) it slowly ticked up until it read the correct temperature (9 degrees) but why the strange - 13 at start up?
Does it signify something wrong / on its way out?

Yes mine used to do this its the outside temp sensor near the front bumper, take it out and clean it with WD40 or some other water penitration fluid :happy2:

Never had a problem since

Any ideas on where precisely the sensor is? Unless it's got a big arrow with flashing lights pointing at it, I'd probably miss it!

SW I believe its to the right of the lower center grill theres a bracket attached to the bumper carrier and it sits on that.
