I dont know if it were a good thing or bad joining this forum, ever since i've joined i just keep on thinking of what mods to get.
Anyway, i've booked myself in at Blueflame on the 21st April for a TBE, soon as its added i'll be popping down to ProSport for a REVO map.
Hope i can stop myself at that point.

You should be ok with that setup, i have the r32 front brakes on mine and they are very good. Will be adding ferodo pads to them soon to add a little more bite though :happy2:
Just noticed what cars you have/had.
Any pics of the mugen rr and the impreza?

Hi Luca,
You got any pics of your car with the R32 front brakes?
Want to check if the larger discs with the orignal rear discs looks ok.
Cheers,
P.S. How much difference was there in braking power?
-
Quite a big difference IMO. I managed to fade my ed30 brakes pretty quickly when i visited mk blasting inbetween roundabouts . R32 fronts havent given up on me yet
Will get some pics of the car side on for you 2moro :happy2:

Completely missed that thread. The mugen and impreza are amazing .
You were very lucky to get hold of the RR as the sold out very quickly
-
I had a BLueflame on my old CLio 182, it was a pathetic system. Poorly made and kept on blowing!! Never ever again TBH.
Also when i was there they took some guys Focus RS out and caned it without him knowing!!
-
Dropped the car off this evening at Blueflame, sould be ready for collection tomorrow afternoon, cant wait.
-
Just had a Milltek exhaust fitted... well happy with it!!! :driver: My car looks like it can fire torpedos from the rear!!! :fighting:
Whilst I was at the workshop got to examine the Blueflame equivalent...I must admit the tailpipes appear to be finished better than the Millteks, but I was a bit concerned with how Blueflame routed some of the piping... one too many sharp bends in the exhaust piping for my liking.
Otherwise I think the Blueflames are a good buy, especially considering they are around £100-£150 cheaper than Milltek.
-
you are going to love it
-
Have any of you declared this on you'r insurance ? & does it make a great difference to the preminum ?.
-
Just admin charge with greenlight £25 I think
-
what's the cost of blueflame back box?
i had one on the audi tt and liked it, apart from the tt box hanged a littled low due to size.
any pics?
i've seen many gti's and the rear tail pipes look awful

Warning!!! dont show this pic to Stokeballon, or he will straighten your exhaust pipes because its doesnt look as if its sat square in the Tunnel, or its the camera angle making it look like it. They look slightly bigger pipes then the milly aswell.
-
they are bigger than the milly hence y they just fit the hole

topcat, that looks mint
love the r32 rear too.
do you have a pic with it from straight on look?
also is that a custom one or one made up for r32?
-
They dont have any exhausts ready made so there all custom to a certain extent, they have a jig set up that they use as a template, Mine is exactly the same as the ED 30 one without the final bend to the side.
More pics as requested at the bottom of first page. http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=36.0

I got to admit the more I look at the Blueflame the more I'm drawn towards it... if only I knew about it before - hey ho!
So, why does everyone go on about Milltek - and why the premium over say Blueflame?
-
You cant really go wrong with a milly the are the market leader for a reason, the blue flame is a good alternative, and we should find out in the next few weeks if it can produce good gains as well, no one has been on the rollers with them yet up against the Milltek
-
My assessment so far:
- The finish of the tail pipes is gorgeous in comparison to the rolled lip finish on the milly.
- Also, like the fact that you dont see any of the 'steel' box under the rear bumper - or is that the photoshop wizardry?
- Prefer the name Blue flame over Milltek any day of the week. Logo is pretty cool as well.
- Blue flame appear to be cheaper, and I can't see anyone complaining about the quality in comparison to millies.
- Read some article about the aftersales/customer service for Milltek being better. To be honest once you got the exhaust fitted - who gives a damn!!!
- Only downside that comes to mind is that I prefer the way the milly exhaust tips protrude more.
-
collected the car this evening, man does it sound sweet :happy2: it produces similar sound to a stock mitsu evo.
will probably get the map done next week, then it will be trail time, will i be able to live with the deeper sound as its an everyday car.
it was suppose to be the civilised car, when not in the spec c

£50 to go stage 2 revo
-
Wax your right about the blueflame sounding like an evo, thats exactly what i thought when i had mine done, should pull better than a stock evo with stage 2 and exhaust
Im very happy with my blueflame, its made out of the same material as the milltek, doesnt look as restrictive (pipework flows much smoother), sounds better IMO of course :happy2:. and has a lifetime warranty like the milltek.
The only reason its cheaper is that its on offer, otherwise it would be similarly priced to the milltek.
-
sound/video clips??????

Will see if the mrs will hold the camera for me later on and i'll try and do a drive by sound clip for you :happy2:
