i have a bluefin for my edition 30 not installed yet, does anyone no if it has to be 300bhp when installed or can you choose what power you can get as in less power so say 270 bph or something so its more smoother with less spin ect?
-
The simple answer is it wont be 300bhp on stage 1. With no other mods mine was around 265-270bhp.
Others have made more but sadly it's not configurable from the handset.
-
You could ask S.C for a Torque limited map which at stage 2 tune, should see around 290bhp, and i can confirmed its alot better and less Torque Spikey then there normally stage 1 tune and 2 options they offer.
Too much torque and no grip is pointless i agree.

thanks for the replys. Hedge how is the car with bluefin stage 1 265 - 270bhp is it worth doing how does the car handle the extra power ect. also does a bluefin superchip do any damage to the car engine or turbo ect.?
p.s i have owned the chip for a while now i got it when i got my car it came brand new with the car never been used. im just need to no a few things before i install, cheers

With stage 1 the car is fine it's only as you start to push the limits that it becomes difficult.
-
okay cool, thanks

So you dont 300bhp like superchips say you will? havent had my ed 30 on a rolling road but the bluefin seems to have made a big difference

Is that 270bhp at the wheels?
-
No flywheel.
-
Thats pretty poor, 37 less than they are claiming at the flywheel!

But their dyno tends to over read by about 37bhp...
-
they should get it sorted then, especially for the amount they chare for bluefin
