Hi guys,
I drive a 2006/55 Audi A3 2.0T with the same brake set up as the GTi (minus the red paint). I've read in various places that GTI rear brake pads will fit on R32s, and that R32 discs will fit on GTIs, but from speaking to Dave B about Pagid RS4-2s I believe they make a set up for the rears on an R32 but not the GTI
So basically I'm wondering what is and isn't interchangeable between the two? The discs are different sizes and solid on the GTI vs. vented on the R32 but are the calipers the same? They can't be if Pagid only makes rear RS4-2s for one and not the other.
I'm confused!

My understanding was that the calipers , carriers and discs were different between the R32 and GTI but the pads were the same.

but that doesn't explain why there are aftermarket pads that fit the R32 that aren't listed for the GTI?
-
Pads should all be the same so the Pagids should fit fine.

i've had a look again and Pagid's website isn't massively clear. they DON'T make an RS4-2 for the R32 (hence nor for the GTI). they make yellows, but not sure if i want to spend £230 on rear pads!

The R32 rear set up differs from the GTi in that the discs on the R32 are a larger diameter and wider, but the pads are the same.

Yes, different brake components (disc & caliper), but same shape of pad.
If you fit Pagid RS4-2 to the front brake the Ferodo DS2500 should be fine on rear.
