Title: 18inch Wheels

Hey all.

Anyone have any issues with replica wheels (quality, easier to damage, etc) I found a set of "Golf GTI Style" alloys at a decent price and was wondering if anyone had problems with them?

I bought a set and they lasted about a year. :sick: Others have bought and had no issues. I ended up buying a genuine set and practically giving the reps away they were so bad........

I have heard of ppl buying reps and having issues, buckling, etc

is it any different to buying any type of alloy wheel tho?

is there a way to see on the alloy a genuine one from a rep?

genuine alloys have imprints on the inside, esp BBS wheel.

Part number and stamp.

Reps < are tempting as you can ge these 500 wheel and tyre packages. I waited, saved bit extra to buy genuines. THANKFULL I was due to put them on the car a few days prior to my accident. Thank god it rained that weekend and I didn't lol

im looking at the 18inch Monza with the polished effect.

winter is coming up so I might wait and see is anyone flogging their summer ones cheapish. they are expensive here tho, cheapest i found was 800e

I'd say they go £600+ with tyres.

Cost effective < std GTI ones? 400ish?

these are the ones. Prefer to get them without tires (chances are they are cheap Chinese things anyway) so can get tires thru work.

Would be hoping to sell my ones for around 500e as they are in perfect condition with 4 decent Uniroyals on them. Do the 17s sell easy enough or is everyone wanting 18s and 19s?

Seem to sell.....you always get people on here upgrading..........

and always gettting the RETURN to standard posts. People off loading the 18 and wanting standards.
