I have some golf mk5 r32 alloys how can i tell if their genuine or not??
-
They should have the manufacturer name cast/stamped on the inside face of one of the spokes...not sure who makes these but for instance, my 18" Monza's have 'RONAL' embossed on the back face of one spoke.
-
Yeaaa cause i thought u could also tell by the colour cause every replica wheels i have had the silver is a diffrent tint
I sold my r32 alloys to this bloke for £350 with tyres nd hes sending them back cause he cant find any stamps :s
-
Did you sell them as Genuine wheels?
-
Yess cause i thought they was cause they came on the car
-
Hmmm sticky one then really mate but I guess if theres no stamps there not genuine :(
-
Ill have look wen they come back as the backs were filthy so ill clean them all up then look
-
If theres no stamps there not genuine :(
The manufacturer will be cast into the wheel (sticking out) rather than stamped into them, they will also have the VW logo on them and part number etc.
Just some of the manufacturers that make OE VAG wheels are:
Ronal
Speedline
BBS
:happy2:
