Title: T&D service interval from longlife
Post by: chocice on November 04, 2011, 09:27:44 pm
Hi,

I discovered the trick for looking at when the next service is due, eg. hold down odometer and turn key, guess what it says service now! I tried to clear it as it was serviced 2 months ago but as it was originally on a long life service plan its not clearing, is there a diy way of changing the computer to T&D service intervals?

You need VCDS or ask the dealer to do it at the next service.

The only people who make and develop the original one are ross-tech. Costs around £200-250 but you get lifetime support and can send them logs etc and they will help you out with fault codes.

The ones on egay tend to be fakes/ chinese copies that have to use cracked or outdated software to use. A few have bought them and then had to fork out again for the genuine version.

Long life can only be reset from vagcom, but I'm sure T and D is done by a button pressing exercise. I will check my auto data on Monday.
