Title: Tornado red MK5 R32 winter protection detail

Today as it is that time of year again I carried out a winter protection detail on my Tornado red mk5 r32. The car gets used as a daily and even though I have kept on top of it through the summer and the water still beads after ever wash I want to further protect it from the harsh elements and all the salt we will be getting on the roads.

Dodo juice born to be mild shampoo
Wash Schmitt
Bilberry wheel cleaner
Meguiars super degreaser
Vikan wheel brush
Maxolen sticky stuff
Micro fibre drying towels
Poor boys wheel sealant
Meguiars endurance tyre gel
Poor boys black hole
Chemical Guys jet seal 109
Victoria concours wax
Meguiars all season trim dressing
Autoglym metal polish
Autoglym car glass polish
Meguiars last touch detailer
Various applicator pads and microfibre buffing towels.

Do you have any advice for someone looking to clean a red mk5 golf tdi? It has loads of swirl marks which id also like to get rid of?

Haha bit far from me or I coud have done it for you. The key is all in the prep work. Removing swirl marks will be very hard to do by hand, almost impossible. A DA machine polisher is your best bet.

Lush! For some reason I havent seen many TR R32s , but that looks mint! Those wheels would give me sleepless nights though , farrrr too many spokes!!!

It's worth it when you see the end results. The car will be getting a full detail next month in time for spring and before my wife has our baby.
