Glad you got them thru ok mate! Clips are not much at all from VW!
-
It's not just ed30 that are different, ps the clips come apart so simply swop the clips over on he mats if you have the old stlye mats that is
-
vw garages usually have them in stock too as they are prone to wear and replacement :happy2:

you could take the clips from the mats out the old one's.
VW have a habbit of doing this, my old LCR has differnet one's compared to the Cupra I have before it.

I've got an identical problem to Joe (Sorry to bring it back to life however!)
Was quoted £4.20 for the correct clips today by Autohaus, but the guy on the phone was cautious and said I'd have to rip out the current clips 'leaving big holes'?
Surely the new clips will cover up any holes?
His confusion has confused me. Surely it must be a straight swap by lifting the carpet?!
Cheers,
Pete.

^ Joe, do they just popout on the mats then?
I'm sat here with the official ones now, I must have the touch of Shrek or something but I can't manage to pop them out neatly?

.........call you'r dealer mate.I got a replacment clip from the dealer yesterday & it was 60p inc the vat!!!!!!.Mine are the standard GTI ''oval'' twist type, but they should have the edition 30 style ?.
-
Yeah I've ordered some Gene. I was charged £4.20 for the 8 parts the guy said (?!)
I thought Dan was referring to swapping the oval clips in the mats themselves with the circular ones. They're simply in too tight lol
I'll just replace them in the carpet of the mat as said.
Cheers
