As above opinions of http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=220388883256
only want them for the look so not a huge emphasise on handling
Cheers Tom
-
they look alright if your just wanting the low looks,
-
Thanks mate
-
:scared: think i asked this question once and got caned lol!
bearing in mind i want mainly for the looks and i,m deffo not a boy racer so not chucking it about all over the show.
what are the main concerns with these compared to say...AP or eichbach or KW?
from a newbies point of view? :embarrassed:
matsu
-
they are TUV approved (so they say) so must be semi legit at least.
prolly a rip off from Weitec and the like, which is a cheaper brand of the KW group.
-
Yeah probs
so been on a tight budget i think they be fine for the looks
my mate got cheap no makes for his mk4 and they've been sound
-
For sure they will be low when the dampers collapse
Na, think you will probably be ok with them for a while, but dont expect them to last..
-
got talking to a local guy who sets up a few local race cars and he has recommended me go for just eichbach springs only.
he said for an everyday car i get the look the control and feel and more importanly for road the comfort. i have no need for coilovers!
i think i got quoted 330 fitted for the springs. is that any good? as the advice?
fanx
matsu
-
Well £200 for fitting seems excessive, unless he is doing the alignment as well?
-
so i can buy them as a set for 130 notes?
fcukingA! :jumpmove:
i,m sure i know someone who can fit for a favour!!
happy days!
-
id still go with the cheap coilovers over springs,
-
can i ask why mate?
again, from a real numpty newbie point of view?
i,m sure if i ever get to meet ya'll,..... i,m in for real stick! :ashamed:

matsu
yea, you can ask, but if i told you id get shot down myself
only joking, simple reason for me is the fact that the springs just dont go low enough, the springs make the car look like it should look std, the coilovers bring it down alot more, stupid reason really so im outta here before robin comes along :P :fighting:
-
Yeah see thats what i want! my mate has just put spings damper.. on his focus st and its nice but not slammed
and i just want the slammed look
-
Yeah the springs are around £140 try www.europerformance.co.uk
The reason I wouldnt go for springs alone is the fact that they can shorten the life of the shocks, so shocks and springs or coilovers.
-
ok i think there is another thread on almost same subject now but i spoke to guy who recommended me just the eichback springs and that it would nt be low enough but if i go for sportline springs i get 50mm lower- which or me is enough i think. :scared:
but gonna look into getting di guy to fit as the price seems very high according to you lot.
where is best place to but the sportsline springs?
the previous link to europerormance diddnt work?
how does that sound?
sorry newbie annoying stu :innocent:
