anyone upgraded a gti to r32 rear disc's?
do the oem heat guards fit?
done a load of reading and so far came up with no.
-
Yes they fit (but need the R32 carriers and calipers too). Splash guard can be re-used just needs bending back a little.

^^^^^
As the gaffer says. Yes they can be used, just takes a small tweak.
I was one of the first to fit S3/R32 rears to a Gti. I tried the S3 guards, and they just do not fit, could only get one screw in correctly.

Thanks guys. Soooooooo
You can bend the gti's back a bit
The s3 don't fit
What about the actual r32 ones? I've read they have 4 holes to mount vice 3?

I wouldn't bother looking any further. Just fit the discs/calipers etc, and tweak the guards to provide clearance. I ran this set-up for ages, then when removed tweaked them back into shape. All good.

Does the R32 have a larger master cylinder?

Fairly sure they are the same.
