hi all, my dad is changing the wheels on his car and has given me first refusal on his current ones, however! im not sure if they will fit
the fronts are - 225/40- ZR18 and the rears are 285/30 ZR18, so if anyone can shed some light on this i would be infinately greatful! thankfully they have tyres too

Stud diameter, offset and width are all wrong... they'll fit if you're happy to get adaptors and do arch work...
-
Youll need to use PCD adapters from 112x5 to 130x5.
The rears are probably J10 so might poke quite badly.
-
are you asking if the TYRES will fit, or the WHEELS? because you've give tyre sizes
modern Porsches have a 5x130 bolt pattern, whereas modern VAG is 5x112 (with the exception of the Q7 and Touareg)
what car do you drive? with or without 4motion? all these things make a difference

cheers guys, would be happy to do the work, but never really needed o look in to arch work, how much would it cost to have done?
-
Archenemy have a web site. it depends on the extent of the work needed but 30 to 60 quid per corner springs to mind.
-
its a mk5 golf gti, the tyres are already on them, I've looked up adaptors and such, just wondering now how much its costs to do the arches so they don't stick out the side.
ah right cheers bud ill have a look, is that the name of the site then?
-
If you have arches rolled, do they need to be painted?

If you have arches rolled, do they need to be painted?
When done carefully, no. If moderate to a lot of pulling is required, maybe. The paint is warmed with a heat gun from why I've seen before to prevent paint cracking I think.

You're going to need a lot more than rolling to get Pork on the back, the adapter is going to be around 20mm and then the wheel is waaaaay bigger.
Not a chance, I'd say.
