Title: Light scratches on paint

Was loading stuff into my boot yesterday and somehow managed to leave some light scratches on the rear bumper paint! :fighting:

Anyways it's very light scratches which even my fingernails don't catch, it's just annoying me to see them. So is there anyway I can get rid if these, was thinking Red T-cut? Any ideas? The cars Tornado Red & paintwork is generally very clean otherwise

Some "Gentle" cutting compound would be better as i find T cut a little too abrasive, I use Autoglym Paint restorer on mine  :happy2:

They might polish out, though it depends on how deep they are.  If they're shallow enough, it should polish out. You could use something like AG SRP which has filling abilities, or you might needs something more abrasive. If they're too deep, you're looking at filling in the scratch with lacquer and then sanding and polishing it flat.

Never used polish but what would use recommend? I'd rather try a polish as opposed to trying to fill it & sanding it down, I'd make it worse :scared:

Just try polish, I managed to get these out with some Merr polish and a heap of elbow grease!!!

Good job, mines aren't that deep so shouldn't be too hard to get rid :confused:

What polish is recommended and should u just apply and remove with a micro fibre cloth?

Right so not managed to do this as of yet but when I do, would I use the polish on the scratched areas or polish the whole bumper?

I would suggest doing the whole bumper otherwise you could make it more noticeable by removing all the tiny imperfections in one place, if that makes sense.
