Title: clay bar 'dragging'
Post by: jimk04 on November 14, 2011, 07:33:30 pm
Dug my clay bar out yesterday that I have used before no probs.

But this time it dragged, leaving a smear of clay on the paint. Tried it a few times with more misting but it always did it.

Do they degrade over time?

If stored properly, should be fine. Did you use enough lubrication? I use loads when claying.

Yeah the same a usual.

It is a bit of a concoction in the bottle - a mix of red mist and Meg speed detailer.

Shouldn't be an issue should it?

I hate red mist. Would leave smearing over the car. Sticky like residue. Use a proper lube.

Or use some shampoo diluted down.
