Anyone had their saggy bolster and worn cloth repaired?
Mine needs doing!
-
Me too..

Ive got a saggy bolster, but cloth is ok at the moment.
I've noticed the other common Golf problem, I can feel the metal frame of the r/h bolster digging into my side slightly.
Had this on my Mk2 16V & Mk4 1.8T as well.
Any fix would be greatly appreciated.

Im getting a price for replacing the cloth panel on the rh bolster, drivers side, and also a separte price for replacing the foam bolster itself, as it seems mis-shapen.
I'm also getting a price for replacing the foam bolster on the rh side of the seat itself (under right buttock!) :ashamed:as the metal in that is starting to be felt.
I'm going to MJ Mussell in Godalming, Surrey on http://www.surreycarinteriors.co.uk/
I'll let you know how I get on.

I spoke to MJ Interiors and was quoted about £130 to replace drivers bolsters and the cloth, both the back rest side bolster and the base bolster.

that's very reasonable considering they're the best in the business.

Quoted me £75 per panel for leather which was outstanding. Another well known firm up here in the N/E wanted £125 per panel :surprised:

The cloth cover for the whole of the backrest is 193 inc. from VW.
The foam bolster 68 inc. from VW.
I've been quoted 100 inc to fit by Bells Accident Repair Centre, Guildford, Surrey.
