Will get some better ones when i get the car back as it is in with vw getting rust repaired under warranty, my plans are to get an itg induction kit, lower it but i dont know how much? Cant afford coilies so i was just going to get h&r 30mm springs? Would love a set of kw v2's like i had on the gti6 but cant afford them! Also a revo stage 1 map and possibly 19" monzas.
I work for robins & day peugeot so if any of you have peugeots drop me an email on luke.jenkins@peugeot.com and i can sort out parts at discounted rates!

Welcome aboard :happy2:
-

I missed the last one due to work :sad1:
-
Not far from me then, i live in henbury,
The S3 was a dog, was a previous write off and was sold to me with a lot of problems that i wasn't made aware of, hub was bent, wheel bearing gone, intercooler pipes were a mess and i had dodgy spacers which made the old wheels on it wobble, clutch slave cylinder went as i expect most of you know its box out.
The GTi6 was awesome, i loved it but i had a few problems throughout ownership so i p/x'd it for the s3, i had a viper induction kit, magnex exhaust with decat so not much performance gains but i felt it was a bit too dated on the interior and fancied something different, so i got lumbered with the s3! I took £1500 trade in against the golf for the s3,
Does £8650 seem reasonable for a gti with dsg on 66k?
-
you wana get yourself over to matk at southwest in car tech mate get a map done, had mine done last week and its amazing. none of the stage 1/2/3 rubbish just a map for you and your car depending what you have done.
-
Welcome Luke, i'm new here too. Picked my Ed30 up yesterday, loving it so far. I read about your saga with the S3 on the gti-6 forum, some bad luck there mate. Hope the golf is better to you than that :happy2:
-
friend of barneys from the vag owners gaz?? seen on fb you had an ed30. welcome along i went from a tdi sport polo to the gti, fuel is'nt as bad as i thought to be honest mate so you should be ok
-
Yes mate, i recognise the name. White mk5? Yeah i'm pleasantly surprised at the fuel economy really. Managed 37mpg on the way home.
-
Silver mk5, White mk2,lol when/if u get it mapped be well worth the trip to Mark at south west incar tech. Did u go for dsg in the end? Also pre warn you the for sale section is deadly , not helping with saving :signLOL: the mk5 was ment to stay standered
-
Hmmmm, ive discovered that already :ashamed: Nah chickened out at DSG, not sure i need it mapped yet, its awesome as it is :-)
-
A friend of mine had a dsg and after a few months got board and swapped for a manual, think it's a love it or hate it type thing.
-
I alwways had manual cars and 4 weeks ago bought an Ed30 wqith DSG and LOVE IT!!!
-
Hi Luke and welcome,
I used to be in Bristol with my steel grey ed30 (Bradley Stoke actually), now in Wells.
I'm sure you'll find the forum entertaining and informative in equal measures.

u talkin to me mate?
-
Yeah bud
-
I didn't realise the revo trial was free. I read somewhere that it reverts back to less than stock though doesn't it?
-
yeah its black, not sure if you would of seen me though, i live in emersons green. I did see about 4 black gtis though on friday within the space of about 2 mins! I havent heard that one about the revo trail before, mine seemed to be ok. But to be fair once you have had a taste of map there is no way you wont want it.

Yes mate, I think it lasts for 24hrs but I could be waaaay wrong about the time :ashamed:
I had the free trial done by Dave at PDT and the drive home from Durham was amazing!!! :driver:
Good thing about the trial is (that's is I'm right about it being 24hrs) it sort of counts down while you are driving the car, Not when it's just parked in the garage overnight.
So therefore you get 24hrs??? Of driving time :happy2:
Best bet is, get the free trial done just before you do a trackday
-
I thought it was 5 hours of :driver:
-
I thought it was 5 hours of :driver:
Ha!!!
Like I said, 24hrs was a bit of a guess really :ashamed:
...all the happy pills as a kid has done my memory no favours :stupid:
-
streetwise automotive in lawrencehill, can give you the revo trial if you're interested. Ask for mitch the owner.
-
I may be wrong though but that was my understanding. 5 hours of driving is quite a long time for free
-
Just spoke to streetwise and they said revo no longer do the free trial :(
-
interesting. May be worth dropping revo-kev on here a quick note to ask why/see if they can help.
-
