Title: Do RNS510 have DAB?
Post by: chris s on November 20, 2011, 05:50:49 pm
I was sitting in my car today messing about with a few things when I found that by holding the setup button for about 10 seconds I was taken to a new menu for the Radio where I was asked to select between AM, FM and DAB... does this mean my unit can receive DAB???

No the RNS isn't capable of receiving DAB but you can had a freeview receiver which can get DAB radio, Kufatec.de do an Ampire unit very expensive but it depends if you want it so badly.

Above are correct. They were originally going to get DAB support in the RNS510 but DAB radio never took off in Germany and so it got dropped from hardware support but still present in the software. RCD510 is the one that supports DAB and takes the same input on the unit as the reversing camera.
