Title: Sky launching an F1 channel
Post by: winrya on November 25, 2011, 07:13:28 pm
Don't think it's been posted already but just noticed sky are launching a dedicated HD F1 channel from March next year.

Will have full practice, qualifying and race coverage and crucially no advert breaks during the race.

The best news for me is you don't need to be a sky sports subscriber, you just have to have the HD channel package.  I cancelled my HD channels a few weeks back and sky rang last week to say they are doing an offer, HD channels for £2.50 a month for next 12 months.  I didn't take it up but will be calling tomorrow to see if I'm still eligible, I can stretch to £2.50 to see my beloved F1

Shame the BBC arent doing it all now because I thought their coverage has been excellent.

Do like the idea of a dedicated channel (Until they tell me its not included with the skysports package and is extra!)

I heard this morning on t radio that the BBC are still going to be showing 12 live races plus a prime shot for the hi-lights show so its not the end of the world for the Sky knockers. I can live with watching a few on Sky.

Hmm just spoke to sky and you HAVE to have the £20 a month entertainment package AND then the £10.25 a month HD package.

So £30.25 per month for F1.... No thanks!

Get in there. I just cancelled sports and movies with a view to adding sports back on in March, but I'm so happy they have included it with my HD sub.

Can't wait now. I agree, I had no interest in watching anything else on Sky sports.
