Hi fellow fanatics...
Can anyone help me on sizes between these two brake calipers please. Which one is bigger in measurement.
Currently running R32 set up front & rear, but after a 4 pot caliper since car is mapped to 330bhp now.
I like the look of the Porsche 4 pot with the Porsche sign etc, but if it isn't bigger in size then it is pointless as the R32's are doing the job good enough. :driver:
Thanks

The discs are smaller 312mm. I have gone from the Cupra 345mm setup and must say they Porsche setup performs great.
I also benifited from the car feeling more agile as loads of unsprung weight was saved

Just realised you was asking about the big Cayenne calipers before was you not?
My above post refers to the NQS BBK (Brembo Porsche 4 pots)
-
Thanks mike,
So are you saying to put back on the ed30 discs and porsche will go straight on and car will also feel lighter etc. I suppose the R32's are heavy.
-
I found the 4 pot porkers where better than the R32's when running with some better pads and j-hooked disks.
As mike says the weight also makes a positive difference to the feel of the car :happy2:

Thank guys...

I'm really looking forward to fitting my pagid blues, Jhooks and ate racing fluid !

Or how about the FBBK (fairly big brake kit(I made that up BTW)) which is the 345mm discs with either the db9 or r8 rear caliper? Dave does brackets.
R8 has the better piston size for the master cylinder and the db9 really needs the master cylinder upgrade. It's hard to find the calipers though.

sorry if i sound silly but do the porker calipers bolt straight on to the hub and are the GTI 312mm discs able to be used? also do the standard golf brake hoses fit without having to change them?
-
Not sure about hoses as HEL Hoses came with my kit but a fitting kit is required and available from DaveB1970.
Have you read the NQS BBK with install pics thread? :happy2:

Have you got a part number for the Porsche calipers your thinking about fitting?
-
No but I could do with the part numbers of all the porkers that will fit.
Still indesicive as the R32 brakes seem fine as it's a project for the missus not me.
