Gents,
I've just noticed I probably should have a left hand mirror which drops when I put the car in reverse - it never has. Can anyone advise if I should have the mirror jog switch on the drivers door in a set configuration etc to make it work?
Anything else I can do to kick it into action or could it be a recode thing or similar?
It's a DSG car if that makes a diff.
Thanks
Matt

Only works if fitted. Instructions are in the manual - can't remember off the top of my head.

Ah ok mate, I thought it was part of the same pack as things like auto folding mirrors etc!
Probably isn't then!!

The mirror switch needs to be set to the passenger mirror

Thanks mate, must not have it fitted :(

I thought you only got this if you have the Electric memory drivers seat? Or is it different for the Golf as in the Octy you need the seats to have mirror dip.

My ED30 passenger mirror moves when I reverse, however its currently rubbish!, it does not go down, only comes inwards a little, not much help really!, then when It does not re-set to where it was before, so basically I dont have the mirror switch set to passenger position!

You know that the dropped position can be adjusted yes?

As Rich has said, sounds like it needs to be programmed to the correct position. Someone's posted a guide on here...

As far as im aware it should be part of the lux pack but it was only on cars after 06.

Only on cars that have a MAX3 door controller and memory motor

Has anyone got a link on how to adjust the mirror? Mine only moves a tiny bit!

You go into the convenience menu, select the mirror option and put the mirror in the desired position more or less and confirm with ok. I'll dig the manual out later. Mine pulled the mirror in way too much and I ended up with the curb on the convex part of the mirror and catching the front wheel after lining up using effectively a circus mirror
