Title: Help gear knob change!!!

ive just bought one from e-bay and would like to find out how to change it :confused:

Post by: mortygttdi on April 14, 2009, 02:23:44 pm: Easy enough, pull the leather surround up over the ball of the gearstick and you will see a round clip abit like a jubilee clip take that off and the gear knob will lift right off, you just need to put your new one on and replace the clip then push the leather surround back in.

Mines had a hard time with all my messing around with the RNS.

...........i changed mine the other week & didn't need to remove the clip,just pulled the gear knob & it came straight off.Worth trying first. :happy2:

I got an unmarked one off ebay a while back for about Â£30 I think.

Have you been fighting a bear inside your car pete? :laugh:

I got one off ebay a while back for about Â£30 I think.

lol...Â£30 is more like it. It's not that bad, but I want it to look fresh.

Indeed, I'll keep an eye out now. It's not top of the list but I will invest in one at some point when I've got some spare cash.
