I've got the standard saggy bolster/thinning cloth on the driver's seat, same as I've had in all my Golfs, apart from my V6 4Motion, which was leather.
Has anyone ever just got a quote for, and/or bought a new, standard driver's seat from VW, instead of mucking around with cutting pieces out, new foam bolsters etc?
If so, how much was it? It's a 2006 GTi with cloth.
It's the next thing on my list before I can crack on with Stage 1.
Cheers,
Ian

From VW would be hundreds if not more !!!!!! :scared:. Breakers or just the foam & new covers would be my choice.

Cheers Gene,
Do you know if you can buy the covers from VW?

I got quoted £190 odd quid for drivers back rest cover.
£60 odd for the foam

Great, thanks for that, how much and was that from VW?
If 190 is for just one of the two covers, imagine how much the whole seat would be!

193 inc. for the back rest cover
68 inc. for bolster foam
72 inc. for the bottom cushion
I was quoted 100 pounds to fit it all from Bells Accident Repair Centre in Guildford.
I rang Colbournes VW in Guildford, and you can't actually buy a complete seat, just the bits, so based on these prices, I reckon it would be close to a grand for the lot! :stupid:
