Title: Hello extra power!!!!!!!
Post by: Vdub13799 on December 02, 2011, 10:35:00 pm
Its amazing what a proper service can do!! Car is is a 2006 with 38000 on the clock, every service has been done by VW by the last owner, first service with me and had it done at the girlfriends dads place (he's been a mechanic for 30 years, owns his own garage) air filter broken in half and the case was completely full of leaves, spark plugs pretty f***ed, I reckon its only ever had a oil change in 5 years!!! Runs very well now and is a lot more perky!!! Result  :driver:

Ah the joys of main dealers my cars never been near one since I've owned. Apart from when there offering 4 free coil packs! Lol Watched them like a hawk while it was there.

Lol! Same here bud, got the coil packs done for free but would never go to them if I had to pay! Couldn't get any more then 32mpg before and now its gone straight up to 36mpg without even trying!! Thinking of stage 1 next seeing as its had a service but still can't decide? Who am I to come along and increase the power, it must be 200bhp for a reason??? That's what I keep telling myself anyway!!

I'll wait to see a post from you when you've had stage 1 done then. I've never looked back. Ran stage 1 for about a year makes massive diff. Go on you know you want to

I'm going Stage 1 after my next service, which will be done by trusted VW specialist, Duncan's in Byfleet Surrey.

I want to make sure everything is optimal with new filters oil and plugs before remapping.

I still find it amazing to think I don't have to upgrade anything on the car for stage 1!

I'm sure there are some good main dealers out there just my experience at the ones I've been to hasn't been good to say the least. That's not just vw's I've had dealings with many makes. I now have a very good relationship with several specialists in my area.
