Morning gents,
My drivers side CV joint needs replacing. Ive got a mate who owns an independant garage who has quoted me £48 + Vat for the parts and £50 labour.
Does anyone in the know or with similar experience have an idea whether this is a fair price?
Thank you
Jon

If its a mate surely its a fair price. :P

paid £250 at an Audi main dealer so yes that seems like a fair price

ive got a complete shaft that came from a car that had covered 10k if you want or i can just send the joint, £25 inc p&p for the joint :happy2:

Thanks for the feedback gents.
Phil, thank you mate but for the sake of £30 I think I will go for a new joint. :happy2:

The cv joint sounds too cheap to be genuine or new, it's likely to be a refurbed unit. I'd probably go for the 10k used item if it is an original part, and save the 30 quid.
