Hi everyone!
This is my first post and its a long time since I've posted on a car forum!
My first car was a 1992 VW Corrado 2.0 16v which I bought when I was 18, I loved it and kept it 18 months until I sold it to go to Uni. I've missed it ever since but its taken me 13 years to get another VW, I mean I've had and still have Audi's but they've never lived up to the Corrado!
However 3 days before my 32nd Birthday, last month I picked this up!

It had 5700 miles on the clock and is like new so I was really pleased with the money I save on it! I was also pretty stoked to find out that its one other owner was actually Bentley UK (they obviously don't let many of their staff drive Bentleys as company cars but at least they get nice VW's!!)!
The car is completely stock and I love it, it's definitely taken over where the Corrado left off, it's such an all-round car. I might play with the idea of some VW Motorsport parts from Racing Line Tuning in the UK and maybe some cool stripes I'm hatching a plan for, but other than that I can't see me ever wanting to change the car, which coming from me is saying a lot seeing as I used to own a Tuning Company!
I have an Audi Q7 which is a lovely thing but I've driven it once since I got the Golf, the Golf reminds me of a cheaper 911 and suits me just fine!
Anyway I thought I'd say hi to you guys as this forum looks like the best on the net for VW Golfs!

Looks lovely pal, Bentley do a lease car scheme for staff, using VAG cars, it could have come through this

Hi mate
Good to see you here, that American forum is no good
Now you have to decide if your going to stay strong and keep it standard, or look through all of the modding threads and end up spending a load of money on bits haha! :happy2:

The attraction of the Q7 wore off for me shortly after I bought the big bastid! Wish I just bought a Golf or for the money an RS4 or something instead! ;)

Cheers mate!
Could be, all I know is that it had a letter on Bentley letterhead stating that they had authorised the car for use abroad, so no idea?!

Very nice, my mate works at Bentley in Crewe and I know they get beaten with a very big stick if the lease cars are so much as dirty - so it should have been very well looked after.
So yes, you're right they don't allow them to have posh stuff, but being high up in the new car development chain, he does come home in some interesting test mules, like cut down S6's with the new Conti GT engine in... very amusing!!
Let the spending begin...

Hi mate, thanks very much for showing me this site, looks a load better than the yanky site! ;)
I reckon I will succumb to the dark side of tuning once again hence my PM to you on t'other site! ;)

Looks very nice m8. Nothing personal but Iv'e always found the Q7 to be one of the most intimidating motors on the road.
Really don't like em or see the point, but has been said, anyone with Corrado history has gotta be a top bloke. :happy2:
Welcome to the forum.... BEWARE OF THE SLOPE ! I'm still standing at the top and resisting the pushes.

Thanks matey!
No offense taken, it's mazing how many people have made similar comments about the Q7, I convinced myself I needed 7 seats, I don't! I tried selling it (almost Pxing it for a Scirocco!) but Q7 values have plummeted, so I've basically given it to my Dad to drive! I'm going to sell it in a couple of years and I'm hoping it will be my Porsche deposit!!!
