Title: GTI & EDITION 30 BADGE IN FRONT GRILL
Post by: vagmaster on December 10, 2011, 12:37:10 pm
Hi guys, I'm curious as to how people get there GTI & ED30 badge to fit the front grill.
I have bought body filler plastic spatulars as I got told to stick them to on with glue, but as I look at the two it seems like it will drop off via car wash etc as there is not much room to play with.

If anyone can help it would be appriciated

thanks

Double sided tape does the trick!

Meaning the reg plate strength or by using the same which is already stuck to the badge

I used the sticky backing pad which is already on the badge when you get it,it's been through quite a few jetwashes and crap weather and it's still there, only thing is if some low life want's it he'll quite easily take it.

The GTI badge comes on a plastic backing which clips into the correct spot on the GTI grille. The ED30 badge - some have stuck it straight on, some have glued on a wire wrap and then used that, some have used a glue gun.

On my show grille, I've just stuck it straight on.

I took the adhesive cover off stuck it on where I wanted it and then pulled it straight back off, this leaves grooves on the pad from the mesh grill. Thin layer of super glue on the grooves and pop it back on. Jobs a good en!  :happy2:
