Any ideas for an easy fix guys?
-
Dry it out by removing the main beam bulb and sticking a hairdryer in there
Then put a silica gel pack inside the headlight housing where the main beam bulb goes in and that'll help stop it in future
I do that on mine, and it works perfectly. Just have to dry the silica gel out once every 3 months
-
Cheers Alex is it a seal problem that is causing this?
-
Its mainly due to a sudden drop/increase in temperature. Coming home with a hot engine on a cold night can cause condensation to collect in the headlights
They aren't sealed up, so can breathe, but occasionally too much moisture collects in them and it can't evaporate on its own
-
As has been said silica bags can help :happy2: with the right conditions you'll get some condensation anyway but it'll normally clear by itself
-
TBH its been a bad day weather wise with wet and cold conditions.
-
Is there much? See how it looks in the morning
-
Just a little across whole light at the bottom of each.
Only bought car last week and picked it up today so looking at everthing!!!!!!!!!!!! :stupid:
Also can you change switch blanks near gear stick?
-
I really wouldn't worry mate, I had the same a few weeks ago during some really bad fog, condensation was all cleared up by morning. My mum's Ashtray was the same, but funnily enough the vRS was fine......... :P
-
Remove the bulb, stick in a short piece of hose pipe and a funnel on the opp end.. stick ur hair dryer against the funnel and watch the condensation all disappear...
then just tape a few silica gel bags to the inside of the light cover..
-
Another thumbs up for silica gel bags here :happy2:
