My rear wiper used to do a 'One Wipe' when the windscreen wipers had been activated by the rain, now it doesn't do it? any idea's? I did get a New Central Electronics Module from Darren (morty) a few months ago, so i'm wondering if the setting might have been deactivated on his? (Hopefully he's around to answer)
Cheers guys.

Yeah thats what i meant dude, sorry forget to mention that! When i go into reverse nothing happens with the rear wiper, but it used to. It was a feature i found really handy!!!!

it has to be in the "on" position (i.e. flicked away from you) or it won't do it i believe. that's how it's set up in my A3 i think

Hmm im sure on the Golf it doesn't need to be on the 'ON' position for it to work! :scared:

If the rear wiper is in the on position, it will wipe every few seconds. For auto wipe, the stalk needs to be in the auto position (one click up) and the car in reverse. If it doesn't there's a problem - likely the motor mechanism.

Hmm I'll test this today. Got me worried now!

Given the issue starting happening when the CEM was changed I'd have thought its a coding issue more than a physical issue with the motor. Assuming the wiper still works when you manually flick the switch of course.
