Found a pirelli for sale with no mods except a superchip remap and the seller claims 307bhp!!
He also said that VW have offered him 13k for it.
It's a 58 reg DSG with 31000 on the clock.
What are your thoughts?
-
:signLOL: on whose rollers?

:signLOL: on whose rollers?
Id guess AMD :signLOL:
-
or superchimps
-
To be fair that reading is low for both. is it a Pirelli Ko3 :P
-
What's the spec of the car? Certain options do bump up the value of the car. Think the sellers fibbing on power claims......
-
I knew this would get this kinda reaction
So i take it its complete bollox. :happy2:
Whats your thoughts on VW offering 13k for the car??
-
If its in good condition and spec'd up well then id say its worth that!

Its a 58 reg pirelli DSG
Highline
MFSW
Armrest w/6disc CD
parking sensors
DVD HD 30g etc
Sat nav 510(?)
It was a "head office" demo plus one and the current..

Im sure its worth that and more but its not what its worth its what the market dictates that Im trying to establish.
Jeynses 08 Ed30 only sold after it was reduced to 11k
Rizalas 08 Pirelli isnt shifting at 12.5k
They are all worth more than that but what is the market saying at the moment?

I know cars depreciate on an almost daily basis. I just wonder if perhaps this is the wrong time of the year to be selling a car? Just a thought I mean I'm picking my car christmas eve for a reason.....its a buyers market at that time of the year! Most persons I'd imagine wouldn't be looking to make such a purchase due to christmas. I'd imagine that from January onwards things may pick up. Also must also say I noticed that edition 30's et al haven't been shifting as quickly as before (i live on auto trader)
On a lighter note good spec :happy2:
This is all my reasoning and opinion of course, someone will probably come along and smash my theory to pieces!
-
I think about a year ago, VW offered me the same as a trade-in for similar mileage on my ED30.
-
I'm hoping for £10k for my 2007 ED30 with 60k, manual, 3 door, red
Factory electric sunroof and space saver are the only options added i think
-
What you have been offered for your car at VW will depend on what you are buying next. £13k would indicate to me that they either have a buyer already lined up or they are selling the person with the Pirelli a £30k plus car Golf R presumably or ED35. If they have been offered that at VW and it is the truth then offer him £12k , no more especially this time of year and economy in **** order. Good time to buy as has been shown on here with recent sales. Was thinking of selling my ED30 with 19k on it but have decided to keep for another 6 months or so.

and the seller claims 307bhp!!
With no mods exept a superchips remap. I think that is slightly over exagerated :signLOL:
-
The seller is implying that VW are offering him 13k cash to take the car off his hands.
Apparently he has replacement car already. Mk4 r32. He said I could have it for 13500!! :D

Bit of a backwards step IMO. No more than £12 and would start at less. Just before Christmas and in this climate if he is buying/ bought a cheaper car he needs rid so use it to your advantage.

I had an edition 30 and only had a giac remap done to it... and on two diffewnt rolling roads i got 302bhp and 308bhp on another

Am I the only one thinking a 58plate DSG Pirelli for £13k is a great price?

How many miles has it done?
All Standard? (apart from Superchips)
Condition? (FSH)
3/5 Doors?
Colour?

Your not on your own mate. I think £13000 is a great price , especialy from the dealers. I would buy it :xmaspresent:
-
I too will think it's a great price once I own one as I will then be biased ;)
It's a private sale and not from a dealer. So no warranty etc.
I think given recent sales 12k would be a great price for the seller and about 11.5k is fair. It is a 4 year old car after all.
Depreciation is a bitch.
