As the title really, just got back from the in laws and put a cheeky bid in on a Milltek downpipe and 200 cell cat on our favourite auction site which I have won.
Thing is, it's listed as a mk5 gti with seat/ed30 advert tags but now not sure if right for my KO4 equiped edition 30.
Can someone enlighten me on my drunken Sunday evening purchase? Will it fit, does it have the same turbo outlet flange or is there a part number I need to check?
Also, if it is the correct pipe, can this be fitted to an otherwise std ed 30 without other mods/remap in the short term (I will be accumulating all stage 2 parts eventually). I've read elsewhere that it might be an issue?
Yours.... sunday afternoon family meal/football watching pre festive drunkard!!

Pretty damn good effort for a drunk person, not a single spelling mistake or punctuation mark wrong :congrats:
Well done that man :signLOL:

Cheers boys!
The seller confirmed the same regarding fitment. Can anyone advise regarding bolting the exhaust on pre-remap etc? I will be adding a brand new cat back system as well at fitment time by the way. And do I go resonated or not? I don't want an overly loud exhaust on the motorway where you can't have a conversation, not adverse to a bit of noise on a cross country blast though.??
Ps...... I'm an hexpurt at drunkened tyiping ha ha!
Sobered up pretty quick this evening, just impaired by the god damn predictive text on the iPhone!

RE: putting on the exhaust pre-remap should be no problem, might throw emissions fault code, but no big problem, your re-map should take care of that
I went for the resonated milltek for the same reasons you list, but have to say it's actually quieter than stock
I've heard a couple of non res millteks since and will be adding soon as it's just right and not to loud HTH :happy2:

Cheers Freddy,
I not overly bothered if its a little raspy and I would like to know its got an aftermarket exhaust on. I suppose its best that I just listen to the two options in person.
My last car was a supercharged 3.0 straight six BMW with a TUV legal (but noisy) custom AC Schnitzer exhaust.....now that was loud and boomy.
And thanks for answering the question about the fitting, I wont be driving about in a half state of tune for long anyway.
