When I first get in the car and turn ignition on I get a clicking noise as soon as I turn the heater/fan on, sounds like its coming from the air con/ glovebox area. When the car warms up it quietens down but clicking noise still there. Air con seems to work fine, hot and cold. If I turn the fan off the noise stops, turn it on and the clicking noise starts again. Any ideas? Any help appreciated.

Seems pretty common. Mines does it occasionally too

My cars been at vw today. Had air con service and brake fluid (both for £99 ). I asked them to investigate the clicking noise and they said it was one of the heater motors but they weren't sure which one. Has anyone else had this and if so which motor was it. How many of these motors are there?? :rolleye:

Old thread I know but did you ever resolve this or find out for definite what the cause was as mine does it too which i find annoying.

Mine click's away like a goodun!
My friend reliable informs me I have a broken badger valve - LOL!

I had a loud clicking noise from behind the glovebox which was due to one of the flap motors being defective
