I'm going to kill the Monza 2's white worm after Christmas. Having read dozens of threads here, I think I'm going to follow Red Robin and go down the smoked chrome powder coat route. I need to see some in the metal before taking the plunge, though. At the same time, they'll be fitting new tyres all round. Not sure which ones - it'll depend on the cost of the wheels!
Can anyone here recommend a good firm, preferably one with a smoked chrome wheel to look at?

Not sure if its any good, but Lepsons in Gillingham get cracking reviews, maybe a bit far off the beaten track for you though?

The work that Lepsons do is nothing short of awesome.
I met Tony who owns Lepsons last week, when I was at KDS Keltec. I've seen 5-6 sets they did last week, I'm very fussy about these things and would say they are as good as you're going to get.
They are doing 800 wheels a week for good reason!

Just had Porsche rims done at Lepsons! Cannot praise their work enough. Repaired a nasty kerbed rim included in the price! £78/rim for 19''. Matched original colour nothing too much trouble and turned around in a week! :happy2: I think their site is undergoing re furb at the mo and they will be shut til 2nd week of January. I thought it was worth the trip based on their reputation, do them once and do them properly.

I'm pretty sure Muckipup on here had his Octavia wheels done at MyAlloys in Basingstoke in smoked chrome. :happy2:
