Does anyone know of any good LED number plate bulbs that won't give me bulb errors or stop working due to shocks of driving over a bump? i got some cheap ones but they seem to stop working if i hit a pot hole or something, they will come back on if i smack the top of the bumper.. Bit annoying so i removed them.. :rolleye:

I do and have posted pics in previous threads of the same topic. There are pics in my build thread. I'm very happy with the bulbs.

i didnt think the number plate bulbs were connected up to the bulb fault system. I have had a numberplate bulb go on my carand nothing flashed up

I`m going for these next,my last EBay specials lasted about two weeks before the bulb out lights came on!!

HIDS direct , good company and top quality parts that don't set off any on board errors etc.

I just ordered some. I have a bulb out and no warning. Some cars do and others don't but i believe the number plate ones can be switched off with Vagcom. Going to check later to see if that is the case with mine.

Seems both my bulbs have to be out before the warning comes on. I ordered the ones in the above link for my 2008 vRS. I put them in. One didn't light and the other lights but only for a few seconds and goes off until you turn the lights on and off. Comes back on then goes off again..

That's very odd.
I also have the same ones from Hids Direct and they work perfectly. I have had them in since March 2011 and they are still going strong :happy2:

I used the units from a mk6 GTi / scirroco which are LED but a bit expensive. Look very OEM though as opposed to some LED's which look too blue.
