Title: Can anyone recommend where I can find a car?
Post by: Ibanezvaio on December 20, 2011, 01:47:39 am
Hi everyone. I'm new here and have decided that a mkv GTI should be my next car.

I bought an impreza wrx about 9 months ago and now I'm thinking of trading it in and joining the club. The wrx is great other than the constant worry it'll blow up and the fuel economy!

So my question is, can you recommend a decent place to look (on the net as I'm based in the isle of man) for my first golf? We have specialists that will buy cars from garages to order almost so if I can look first then at least I can hurry the process along.

I've done quite a bit of research and would love a pirelli or ed30 :) don't want much :p

Thanks guys and looking forward to finding my perfect car

These sites should be a good place to get started  :happy2:

Used car section on www.vw.co.uk
www.autotrader.co.uk
Classified section on www.pistonheads.com
Classified section on this very site is also a good place to keep an eye on

I'd keep on eye on here (i didn't think of this before buying mine wish I did as cars on here in theory should be better looked after as the owner is an enthusiast)

auto trader personally as they have the largest selection of cars.

I feel nows a good time to buy.....but all good things must come to end...I had been watching cars for a while and values have dropped markedly I feel...don't know how long this will last for though.....as I'd imagine all the best and well priced examples will be snapped up quickly....another thing I wish I knew was that most things can be retrofitted easily....so go for condition I'd say....I went for spec....though spec and history seem spot on luckily enough....

I'd have loved ed30 may still get one! Time will tell!

Happy Hunting! Keep us posted!
