Title: Data logging results - Bit concerned
Post by: ktlstar on December 22, 2011, 02:35:57 pm
Hi all,

After gone and had Revo stage 2 installed the settings were applied as B9 T6 F7.

These are the logs i just came back with and should i be worried as i see -0.8 timing being pulled back.

Your CFs look fine but you have a fuel cut mid range!  :scared:

Do you have an uprated hpfp? I would turn down the boost and check your cam follower asap.

I dont have a HPFP which conerned me why AMD put fuel at 7.

I have no switch to change boost or fueling.

I have HPFP and cam follower sitting right next to me however most places are shut, and dont fancy going back to AMD.

I was hoping someone local i.e Bromley/se london could lend me there switch or help me set it up.

Thats sound, so really Fuel pump needs to be fitted. Thats cool, I'll try and get that fitted over the holidays and then try and do some more logging.

With the CF values, you all put my mind to rest.

Thank you guys

Do Revo stage 2 maps request 129.9 bar? Most stage 2 maps request 109.9 don't they?

From JKM

The JKM K04 Stage 2 package is for owners of 2.0 TFSI engines who want the ultimate tuning package for their K04 TFSI engine. This package utilises market leading REVO Stage 2 software and when combined with the hardware in this package it will enable the K04 turbo to flow enough air to produce maximum engine torque & power.
Please note that Revo K04 Stage 2 software requests 129.99Bar fuel pressure as per a K03 stage2+ file.
If requested, Revo K04 Stage 2+ software can be added to this package at an extra £50+vat - contact JKM.

Sorry for another question guys..... Because the pump cant keep up, how dangerous is this for the engine ?

Could you clarify if you have a k03 or k04 and is it a stage 2+ or 2 map?

If your pump can't keep up then you can get an engine check light and the car going into limp mode. For the time being keep off the boost and you should be ok till you get your fuelling sorted.

Thanks Mark -

I was going to attempt the pump change today as i got 6 hours to spare.

Yep thats right still no switch, and should i be angry at the company that put them settings in ? IFF i do go back i will make a slight complain and maybe provide pictures just to show them.

Iv already asked Mark ;)

Cheers though mate

What year is your car as if it's an early model then removing the hpfp may prove a little difficult/fiddley if you have a banjo bolt pump attachment.

57 plate dude.

It's ok, I went out and remove  the pump and to check the follower (So i know what im pretty much doing tomorrow*install hpfp*). Took me 30minutes. The only pain was trying to move the hose clamp to the front  as it was sitting near at the back of the pump.

:driver: I hope after installing it, it will be all good with the revo settings it has. Will update and maybe you guys can clarify for me if all good  :santa:

Fitted the fuel internals early this morning, then did a few quick runs. I forgot to log the RPM however at 130bar of pressure you know im at full WOT.

Heres a 2 logs / chart. I am still concerned seeing -0.8. I thought -0.5 is max you want ????? As you can the pump is holding up with the requsted fuel.

-0.8 timing pull is low. When first mapped mine was reading about -6 at high revs, dodgy cheap fuel.

Up to -5.0 CF is acceptable but closer to zero is better.

Car seems slower then before. Looking at the air mass its got lower readings then before. Any ideas ?

Before seeing 250-260 and now highest is 230
