Title: HPFP install
Post by: ktlstar on December 23, 2011, 10:43:32 am
Morning,

When installing an autotech hpfp, Is it required to take apart the whole pump and clean in and outs ?

Could you not just undo the nut that holds the piston in, swap piston over etcetc ?

Just going by this video.

Why does it need to be stripped right down, if your only replacing the piston ?

Just wondering

Is there a specific torque setting the piston has to be tightened up to?

I did mine tight - come off easily so wouldnt thought it was that tight in the first place. Make sure you do have a vice, makes things easy for yourself.
