Title: 08 plate gti

Placed a deposit on a 56plate Gti but found a better deal on a 08plate Gti Would I need the canbus converter if I retro fit a rns510??

I've just bought and rns 510 and gateway because I have a 2006 gti and need it to prevent battery drain down. I think models 2007 and after don't need gateway the rns  is just plug in a play

March 07 was the change

Gateway needs to be an L or above.

Some of the "K" revision gateways are ok too :-)
I haven't tested all sw versions but I know version 0178 works fine.

You can always use the modified firmwares that are in one of the sticky threads!
