Hi . ive just seen an ad for a 1 owner v5  golf with 120k on the clock. does anyone have a rough idea how much these go for and any probs to look for . could be a christmas present to self/ project for next year

I'd say £1000-£1500 with that mileage depending on condition etc......

Is it the 150BHP or 170?

its an x reg so i guess it would be the 150 .  and as above the car is priced at £1,100 ono.

The best way to tell is to look at the top of the engine. If it has five HT leads it is the 150bhp, if there are none it's the 170. I had a 150bhp Highline Bora and loved it. O miss it dearly  :sad1:
